Corn Flakes Chiwda/Makai Chiwda
This is an all time favourite tea time/ party snack.Being crunchy,and tasty it's a combination of highly nutritious Corn,peanuts and dry coconut as well as Vegetable Oil which makes it a protin rich snack
.
Let's make it
Ingredients:
Corn flakes - 250 grams
Peanuts - 50 grams
Roasted Gram Dal (Chana Dal/Daliya)
Cashew nuts - 50 grams
Raisins or Black Currants - 50 grams
Dry coconut thin slices - 1 cup
Whole Coriander Seeds ,fennel seeds,Curry leaves, 1 dried red chilly
Powdered suger - 2tablespoons
Red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 tablespoon or to taste
Cooking oil -for frying
Method:
First of all , deep fry the peanuts, cashew nuts,roasted chana dal and raisins one by one and keep aside in a plate.We have to fry them untill they are nicely crunchy.In the same oil , deep fry the corn flakes till they get a nice crunch and colour.
Now in the same oil add whole coriander seeds , fennel seeds , dried red chilly , dried coconut slices and curry leaves till they are crunchy.When they get fried nicely ,drain the oil, switch off the gas flame and mix them with the corn flakes mixture. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, powdered sugar and salt to this mixture and give it a good mix.
And here , your Crunchy Munchy Spicy and Tasty Corn Flakes chiwda is ready!
Store it in an airtight container when it's completely cooled down
