Hara Bhara Kabab
Hara Bhara Kabab is not but Vegetarian Kabab made with green vegetables such as Spinach, Green Peas ,Bell Pepper, French Beans.It is an appetizing snack as well as a healthy food as it contains a lot of green vegetables.We can call it a full meal also.So let us begin......
Ingredients :
*Vegetables:
Capsicum (finely chopped) -1 cup ,
French beans (finely chopped) -1 cup,
Green peas (coarsely ground) - 2 cups
Spinach -1 bunch
Potato (boiled and mashed) - 1/2 cup
fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped) -1/2 cup
*Spices:
Green chilly , Ginger and Garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
Garam masala powder - 1 tablespoon
Red chilly powder - 2 teaspoons (optional)
Chaat masala - 1 tablespoon ; Or Amchur powder 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander And Cumin powder - 2 teaspoons
Salt- to taste
*For making dough
Paneer (grated) Or soaked,squeezed and crumbled soya chunks -1/2 cup
Roasted chickpea flour- 2 tablespoons
Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
Bread crumbs -3 tablespoons
Cooking oil for shallow frying

Ingredients for Hara Bhara Kabab
Method:
Pluck and rinse the spinach leaves and blanch them into boiling water for 5 minutes.
Heat a pan on medium gas flame adding two tablespoons of cooking oil in it.Add ginger garlic and chilly paste.Fry the paste nicely and now add the capsicum, green peas and french beans.Add a tablespoon of salt and saute the vegetables till they are a little bit tender.Then transfer them to a plate to cool down.
Now coarsely grind these veggies along with chopped coriander leaves and blanched spinach leaves.
Transfer this mixture into a mixing bowl and add salt ,red chilly powder, coriander cumin powder and garam masala powder to it.Also add the mashed potato and grated paneer/crumbled soya chunks.Mix all well.Now add roasted chickpea flour,corn flour and bread crumbs.Combine well.
Make bigger than lemon size balls and press gently to make a 'tikki' shape.
Heat generous amount of oil and shallow fry all the Kababs/tikkies/ cutlets by turning both sides till they are nicely golden browned and cooked completely.
The healthy and tasty Hara Bhara Kababs are ready to have. Enjoy with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
Serve the kababs hot.
Note:
The frying pan should be hot enough while placing the kababs into it.If the pan is not hot,there are the chances of sticking the kababs to the pan.
